How Much do Veneers Cost?

The cost of veneers depends on how many veneers are needed and what type of veneers you choose. There is some flexibility when planning your smile makeover, regardless of whether you are looking for the best or most affordable veneers. For "problem" teeth, some people may only require one or two veneers. A person with a more prominent or naturally wide smile might need ten veneers at a minimum. Most smile makeover patients will opt for 6-8 veneers.

The location of your dentist’s office and the lab they use to create your veneers are major factors in veneer prices. The cost of treatment can vary greatly depending on things. This is because the cost of living has an impact on everything, from operating expenses to staff salaries to rent and supplies. You can save hundreds of dollars by visiting a cosmetic dentist who is not in your area.

Types of Dental Veneers:

The biggest factor impacting the cost of veneers is the type of veneer you choose. Typically, there are three veneer designs to choose from: porcelain, composite, and no-prep/prepless.

For the best results, we recommend porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers are more natural looking and tend to last longer. They best replicate the natural appearance of your tooth enamel, offering premier cosmetic results for our patients. Porcelain veneers are created in a two-step process similar to dental crowns. But if you only need one or two veneers, composite resin designs may be better. Resin is handcrafted over your tooth in just one appointment, providing immediate results. However, the resin is nowhere near as durable as porcelain, so they tend to need updates more frequently.

The cost of traditional porcelain veneers is typically between $925 to $2500 per tooth.

Chairside (composite resin) veneers can cost between $250 and $1500 per tooth, depending on the situation.

No-prep veneers tend to average about $2000 per tooth, depending on which lab is being used. Typically, the cost per tooth is lower the more dental veneers you’re getting.

What’s Included in the Treatment Cost?

Pricing for dental veneers includes your preparation appointment, numbing medication, design process, lab fees, and final placement of your permanent veneers. It does not include any exams, X-rays, or optional sedation during your smile makeover.

Additionally, if you need treatments such as gum recontouring, whitening, or braces before getting dental veneers, there will be additional fees to consider in your overall veneer budget.

What Factors Affect Dental Veneer Cost?

The cost of dental veneers is largely dependent on the type of veneers you’re getting. There are some materials that are more expensive than others. High-quality designs are more durable and can withstand daily use better, which allows them to last longer.

Additionally, the total number of veneers you need will impact the cost of your smile makeover. How many teeth do you want to treat? Some people only need six veneers on their top front teeth. Others need eight to ten veneers or even more than that because of their smile shape. We will need to determine how many teeth are being treated in order to provide an accurate treatment estimate.

We Make Dental Veneers Affordable

The team at Wellness Dental sees every day the life-changing effects of porcelain veneers in our patients’ lives. Their smiles and confidence speak volumes. Porcelain veneers might be the best option for you if you are embarrassed or concerned about how your teeth look. That’s why we offer affordable pricing options to ensure you can get the smile makeover you’re looking for.

Our Surprise, Mesa, and Tucson dentists will work closely to develop a smile plan that suits your individual needs. You'll get an exact cost estimate at your initial exam and consultation.

You can finance your porcelain veneers with a low-interest payment plan or at 0% interest, depending on the length of the terms. This allows you to make low monthly payments and doesn't require you to wait to schedule your smile makeover. Financing can also be combined with your Flex Spending or Health Savings Accounts.

Does Insurance Cover Porcelain Veneers

Dental veneers are an elective cosmetic procedure. Because they are not medically necessary to have healthy teeth, most veneers are not covered by your dental insurance policy. We may be able to work with your insurance company to make exceptions for teeth that have suffered structural damage in lieu of placing a dental crown.

How Long do Porcelain Veneers Last?

Your veneers will last for several years with the right care and preventative maintenance. On average, a typical porcelain veneer can last for at least ten years or longer. However, resin veneers (chairside, same-day veneers) are not as durable, so they may only last for a few years before needing to be updated.

If you clench or grind your teeth, we recommend sleeping in a night guard to prevent unnecessary wear to your veneers. Additionally, be sure to floss around your veneers daily, brush twice a day, and schedule a professional cleaning every six months.
